経験豊かなネイティブ講師と英語を楽しもう！

皆さんこんにちは、ダニエルです。
2021年4月から鈴鹿でペリーイングリッシュの講師をしています。

イギリスのロンドン出身で、日本で20年以上英語講師をしてきました。

東京都荒川区の小学校で日本で初めて外国人教師の授業がスタートした際には、教材やカリキュラム作りにも携わりました。
小学校で簡単な英単語を教える時には、日本の手話も取り入れたことがあります。

鈴鹿に来る前の10年間は、東京電機大学付属中学校・高等学校で英語を教えていました。
その他、英会話、ビジネス英語、障害者向けのクラス、TOEIC、英検、入学試験対策などを教えた経験もあります。

日本語学校に通ったことはありませんが日本語の勉強は大好きです。
趣味はブラジルのカポエイラ(ブラジルのダンス)で、その為にポルトガル語も少し勉強しました。
音楽も好きで沖縄の三線とスイスのハンドパンという楽器も演奏できます。

私には弟と妹がいます。両親は二人とも教師で忙しかったので、小学生の頃はよく自分でゲームを作って弟・妹と一緒に遊び、面倒を見ていたので、小さい子どもたちと遊ぶのが好きです。

そして、私は英語を教えることが大好きです。
生徒さんたちは皆、未来を担う人たちです。
ですから、みなさんを大切にし、尊敬し、心と知識の成長のお手伝いをしたいと考えています。

まずは英語でも日本語でもいいので、気軽に話しかけてみてください。
同じ言葉でお話しして仲良くなりましょう。

Hello everyone. My name is Daniel and I am from London, England. I have spent the last 10 years teaching junior high school and high school students in an affiliate school of Tokyo Denki Daigaku. I have been teaching English for over 20 years in Japan. My other experience includes the first program in Japan using native teacher classes in elementary schools. This was in Arakawa-ku where we developed materials and the curriculum. I have also taught eikaiwa classes, business students, handicapped students, as well as students studying for tests such as TOEIC and Eiken. When I was in elementary schools I incorporated basic Japanese Sign Language into teaching vocabulary.

Although I haven't been to school to study Japanese, I enjoy learning it and I have also studied a little Portuguese for one of my hobbies; capoeira. Another hobby is playing music. (I have an Okinawan sanshin and a handpan.)

Both of my parents are teachers and I grew up with two younger brothers and a sister. As well as looking after them when my parents were busy, I made many games that we played together.

Lastly, the most important thing to say is that after 20 years of teaching, I still enjoy it and have love and respect for all my students. Please feel free to talk to me in English or Japanese and I will respond accordingly. I want to hear your opinions and build good relations.
